Dipped Tantalum Capacitors Features

Epoxy - coated solid electrolyte tantalum capacitors are encapsulated with flame-retardant yellow epoxy powder, marked with laser. It meets and exceeds the requirements of IEC Specification 384-15-3, IECQ Specification QC300201/US0003, used in TV sets, camcorders, computers, program-controlled electronic telephone switching systems, telephones, instruments and meters.

Chip Tantalum Capacitors Low ESR Features

Our TS20L series is LOW ESR Chip Tantalum Capacitors. This type of capacitor is with 6 different sizes ( S case, A case, B Case, C case, D case, E Case ).

Hybrid Tantalum Capacitors

Tantalum hybrid capacitors provide very energy density and high power in devices much smaller and lighter than traditional tantalum wet, tantalum chip, aluminum electrolytic, or ceramic capacitors. The hybrid tantalum capacitor is also the most reliable capacitor in the market.

The Hybrid tantalum capacitor, use of the dielectric permits higher voltage operation of single cells, and can thus operate at higher voltages without the need for series connected cells.

The resistance (ESR) of single cell Hybrid capacitors is much lower compared to other super capacitors of similar voltage rating. This leads to a very low time constant of 1ms, or less, making Hybrid capacitors well suited for high-rate applications.

Tantalum Capacitors Knowledge

Tantalum capacitors are a form of electrolytic capacitor. However, some forms of them are non-polar, containing two capacitors connected in series(negative to negative). In comparison with Aluminium electrolytic capacitors, they are for similar capacitance and volume ratings generally more expensive, with lower effective series resistance. They usually have longer life, especially at moderately elevated temperatures. For surface mount devices, they are generally smaller.

Tantalums exploit the tendency of tantalum to form a protective oxide surface layer. They use tantalum powder, pressed into a pellet shape, as one "plate" of the capacitor with the oxide as the dielectric, and an electrolytic solution or conductive solid as the other "plate". Because the dielectric layer can be very thin (thinner than the similar layer in, for instance, an aluminium electrolytic capacitor), a high capacitance can be achieved in a small volume. Because of the size and weight advantages, Tantalum Capacitors are useful in portable telephones, pagers, personal computers, and automotive electronics.
